Dental Practice Review

The Dental Board’s mandate is to protect the public with respect to dental care.  There are many ways in which this is done but one way is through the Dental Practice Review.

The Dental Practice Review came into effect March 2008 with the implementation of the Dental Practice Review Regulations signed by Order in Council. The first Dental Practice Review Audit was done in 2009.

The intent of the DPR is to provide dentists with the opportunity through consultation and feedback, to assess areas of their practices for upgrading if required.  The Dental Practice Review audit requires mandatory participation much like the Continuing Dental Education Audit.
